The short answer

Rythena's core journal, Calendar, full history, reminders, raw export and standard PDF remain free. Plus adds descriptive comparisons, richer reports, automatic encrypted sync and owner partner publication.

Comparing free period tracking vs premium is easier when you begin with the job you want done. You may need a clear period-day counter and occasional symptoms, or you may want a convenient way to compare several cycles.

The upcoming Rythena app keeps the core record useful without a subscription. Plus is an optional set of additional tools, not a requirement to keep access to your own history.

Start with the free journal

Core tracking includes the journal, Calendar, full history, reminders, raw export and the standard PDF. You can save a period, review recorded dates and prepare a basic appointment report without purchasing Plus.

If your main question is “Which day of my period is it?” or “What is the estimated next start?”, check whether the free experience already supports your routine. More screens are not automatically a better fit.

Consider a specific Plus job

Plus adds descriptive cycle comparisons and personal-pattern views, along with richer reports. These can make a larger record easier to review, but they do not diagnose conditions or prove that one observation caused another.

Automatic encrypted sync is another convenience. It is optional and involves encrypted cloud copies plus account/device information. Read the recovery-key explanation before relying on it. The no-account core journal and optional cloud service are different arrangements.

Understand the partner arrangement

Creating and publishing an owner Partner mode connection requires Plus. The recipient's read-only experience does not require a separate Plus subscription or cycle-journal onboarding.

Reviewing connections, reducing permissions and revoking access remain free. A purchase should not be required simply to stop sharing. Notes and other private records do not become visible because the owner enabled a limited mood or cycle scope.

Inspect the actual purchase screen

Rythena's current paywall presents weekly and annual native-store plans. Read the displayed price, billing period and renewal information before choosing. Prices are localized by storefront; a price in a screenshot is not a universal offer.

There is no need to decide from a blurred preview alone. Use the contextual explanation to understand what the feature does, keep the free exit available and subscribe only if the additional job is worthwhile to you. No trial or discount is promised on this website.

A decision you can revisit

You can begin with free tracking and assess whether the extra views would save you effort once a useful record exists. A subscription should make a task easier, not make a journal observation seem more valid.

Before the app's public release, the site's availability page remains explicit that these are upcoming features. When available, purchase and restore behavior follows the purchasing store and the in-app information.
